Dr Janine Vetsch is an early-career Postdoctoral Research Fellow. She holds a Master of Biomedical Science and a PhD in Health Sciences/Health Policy. Her PhD assessed childhood cancer survivors’ and parents’ information needs, follow-up care practices and preferences for the organisation of follow-up care. In her current role, Dr Vetsch leads a program of research investigating psychosocial impacts of personalised medicine in childhood cancer patients.

Her focus is on families’ hopes, expectations and attitudes toward being enrolled in a personalised medicine trial for high-risk childhood cancer patients. Her research aims to better understand families’ needs and to develop educational resources.
