Scholarship requirements:

• Applicants need to be enrolled PhD students at either USyd or UNSW, and top-up applicants to preferably hold an, RTP (APA), UPA, NHMRC post-graduate scholarship or equivalent.
• Applicants need to have at least 2 semesters (full-time equivalent) of PhD candidature remaining to receive top-ups.
• Applicants applying for a PhD Top-up must have at least 12months remaining on their RTP or equivalent at the time of closing of this application.
• PhD Top-ups are not open to students holding a KCA 3-year scholarship.
• Awarded on competitive merit basis. • Applications will be scored equally in three categories:
  1. applicant’s level of academic excellence,
  2. feasibility and quality of the science, and
  3. translational relevance of the work.
• Applications will be judged by the KCA Education & Training Sub-committee.
• The KCA Education & Training Sub-committee reserves the right to re-advertise
• Applications close 24th February for Top-ups, and 2nd March for 3-year PhD Scholarships
